Blast at the Grand 1894 Opera House-April 12, 2008 at 8 PM
Blast, the Tony-Award winner for Best Special Theatrical Event, will make an appearance at the Grand 1894 Opera House. This outstanding performance is filled with musical talent, athleticism, movement and showmanship. Family Fishing Day- April 12
Come bring the family where they will be taught the basics and how much fun fishing can be, at Galveston Island State Park. Galveston Island State Park, is a 2,013.1 acre site that was acquired in 1969 and opened in 1975. At the Park, you will be able to do beach or surf fishing for spotted sea trout, sand trout, red fish, black drum, croaker and flounder. Gulf Coast Volleyball Association Tournament-April 5 and April 19 at 9 AM

Garden Extravaganza at Moody Gardens Pre-School Camp- April 19 from 9-11 AM
This is a wonderful opportunity for your pre-schooler to learn through story time, make a craft, have a themed snack, and visit one of the Pyramids at the Moody Gardens. Earth Day & Oleander Festival- April 26-27
Moody Gardens will be throwing an event for Earth Day and the Galveston Oleander Festival. Activities will include a floral design competition, arts and crafts for both children & adults, a beautiful display of oleanders, birding tours. They will also have oleanders for sale at this event. This celebration is open to the public, and admission is free.
